Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
The rising star boasts substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile cheerleaders when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates several courses worldwide and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He practically suggested to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and maintains the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He told me to go out there, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, featuring world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that Kai's presence exposes the sport to new audiences, particularly reaching younger fans.
The young star boasts substantial online presence and just introduced her own fashion and living label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
