‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, adding that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a public database noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were widely condemned by several commentators.
