Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on Monday, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the boxing community offered condolences for the champion in the following the devastating accident.
